Functional Rhinoplasty

Functional Rhinoplasty

Going beyond aesthetic refinement, we analyze the anatomical structure to resolve functional issues at the same time.

We address breathing difficulties (nasal obstruction) caused by internal structural problems while simultaneously improving the shape of the nose.

1

Deviated Septum Correction

When the central partition (nasal septum)
is bent and one nostril is narrowed,
we straighten it to restore a clear airway.

2

Nasal Valve Reconstruction

When the narrow passage at the upper nose —
the nasal valve — becomes constricted and breathing is restricted,
cartilage is inserted to widen the airway.

3

Submucosal Inferior Turbinate Resection

For nasal mucosa (inferior turbinate) swollen by
allergies or chronic rhinitis, we reduce its volume
to restore smooth airflow.

To ensure this is your last surgery,
we analyze the root cause of every prior failure.

Through precise diagnosis by our experienced specialists, we offer 1:1 customized reconstruction solutions — Banpoleeum's delicate restorative surgery that heals not only the nose, but the heart behind it.

1

Contracted Nose Correction

When inflammation or repeated surgeries have left the nose stiff and
shortened upward.
We release the scar tissue and use autologous tissue (typically rib cartilage) to lengthen the nose once again.

2

Implant Deformity & Displacement

If the silicone implant has shifted or moved upward,
we remove the existing implant, create a new pocket
for repositioning, or replace it entirely with autologous tissue.

3

Implant Show-Through & Skin Thinning

When the skin on the nasal bridge has thinned, revealing the implant or
causing redness at the tip, we reinforce the skin with autologous dermis or fascia.

4

Aesthetic Dissatisfaction (Line Correction)

When the nasal bridge is too high or too low,
or the desired line
was not achieved,
we redesign and precisely re-engineer the nose.

How to Protect
Your Beautiful New Nose, Safely

Essential post-rhinoplasty guidelines from Banpoleeum

1. The Right Way to Use Cold Compresses to Reduce Swelling

Until stitches are removed : Apply cold compresses consistently to cool the heat at the surgical site.
How to use : Wrap the cold pack in gauze or a thin towel and apply gently — avoid placing direct pressure on the surgical area.
Timing : Apply for 10 to 15 minutes at a time, rest in between, and repeat every 3 hours for the best results.

2. Proper Posture to Aid Recovery

Sleeping face-down or bending your head sharply forward puts pressure on the nose and can slow recovery. Avoid actions that strain the face and maintain a comfortable, upright posture for the time being.

3. Medication and Ointment Application

Take prescribed medication and apply ointment exactly as scheduled, without skipping a dose. Strict adherence during the early recovery stage is essential for preventing inflammation and ensuring a fast recovery.

4. Makeup and Cleansing Guide

Light makeup may be applied to areas of the face excluding the surgical site beginning 7 days after surgery.

5. Strict Prohibitions for the First Month

No Alcohol & No Smoking : Drinking and smoking cause inflammation and delay the reduction of swelling. For optimal results, please strictly refrain from both for one month after surgery.
